Trauma Victoria – Facilitated Visits

Trauma Victoria’s Major Trauma Education Project funded by the DHHS and managed by Adult Retrieval Victoria, is focused on providing sustainable trauma focused education for all clinical staff (Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics) involved in the management of major trauma victims.

In 2016 we are entering another phase of the Major Trauma Education Project. This incorporates facilitated visits for clinicians to the Victorian Adult Trauma Centres and the Coordination centre of Adult Retrieval Victoria.

These visits are an observational, supernumery role for one day. Leave and/or payment must be negotiated with your employer. There will not be payment/funding from the hosting centre.

The objectives are to observe trauma management at either the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Alfred Hospital, or ARV coordination centre to observe case management onsite.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced individual clinicians who are involved in the management of trauma patients. These must be received by the 19 February 2016.

Please Include:

  1. Name
  2. Position
  3. Place of employment
  4. Qualifications
  5. Preferred site to visit
  6. Learning objectives
