Nursing Emergency eXternal Trauma Program

This course is designed for nurses who may be responsible for the initial management of people who have suffered significant injury and who present to their health care facility for immediate assistance. Traumatic injury is a significant public health burden with increasing prevalence worldwide. All hospitals have a role to play in providing the highest standard of timely care to people affected by injury.


  1. Registered nurses with any amount of emergency experience
  2. Registered nurses who care for trauma presentations t their hospital
  3. Registered nurses who may receive a major trauma patient at their workplace and who provide clinical care
  4. Clinical nurses who care for traumatic presentations
